Ansewrs for quesions

What do you think of the game Homefront that came out?
It looks pretty good. The weapons are very up-to-date and it is overall realistic.
-Would you play that game if you had chance?
Yeah. Probably.
-What do you think about the game's gameplay?
The graphics are questionable but the overall gameplay is pretty good.
-Do you like the game Homefront? Why or why not?
Yes because the overall storyline is very well though out and it seems like the events in the game could actually happen.

-What do you think of the game SOCOM 4 that came out?
It looks pretty good.
-Would you play that game if you had chance?
Probably not because it is a third person shooter when I prefer first person.
-What do you think about the games game play?
The story is pretty well thought out.
-Do you like the game SOCOM 4 why or why not?
Yes. The only thing I do not like is once again the third person gameplay.

Hard News Notes

Hard news (+/- 600 words) This is how journalists refer to news of the day. It is a chronicle of current events/incidents and is the most common news style on the front page of your typical newspaper.It starts with a summary lead. What happened? Where? When? To/by whom? Why? (The journalist's 5 W's) in first two sentences .

Soft news (+/-600 words): This is a term for all the news that isn't time-sensitive.Soft news includes profiles of people, programs or organizations.

Feature (+/-1500 words): It explores an issue

Editorial: The editorial expresses an opinion.

Finding story ideas
Keep your eyes and ears open
Read everything you can get your hands on;
Think of a youth angle to a current news story.
Research a subject that interests you
Talk to people in a specific field to find out what is important to them.

1. What are the 5 freedoms of the 1st amendment?
Speech, Religion, Press, Peaceful assembly, Petition


2. What is the Tinker Standard?
Student speech cannot be censored as long as it doest not ''materially disrupt class work or involve substantial disorder or invasion of the right of others.''


3. What is the Frasier Standard?
School officials have an ''interest in teaching students the boundaries of socially appropriate behavior,'' they can censor student speech that is vulgar or indecent, even if it does no cause a ''material or substantial disruption.''


4. What is the Hazelwood Standard?
Censorship of school-sponsored student expression is permissible when school officials can show that is is ''reasonably related to legitimate pedagogical concerns.''


5. What is the Frederick Standard?
Can be suspended for humer if its goes against teachingsof the school.

6. What is the definition of libel?
False statement of fact, must be printed, broadcasted, posted or otherwise communicated to others.
It must defame someone's reputation/character.
